Been thinking about this, and how the peleton does odd things
sometimes (e.g. a few years back, the day after Casartelli died on a
hill they rode in formation and no one contested anything...all
riders, "same time").
We're at what, T-2 days? If the longhorn guy or the devil or the
double birdie orangey or anyone else did something to knock Our Hero
off his pedals, my gut feeling is that his teammates, and the peleton,
would hoist him back in the saddle, clip him in, and drag him to the
finish where his front wheel would be thrust in front just enough to
win it.
I mean, would you want your name as the winner with that big fat
honkin' asterisk by it?
Yeah, watch out for that Cubbie guy.
