Went out today, just a few hours short of 8 days post-procedure.
Could not have done it yesterday, and the 10 miles or so was about all
I could handle, but it feels as if I can start picking it back up now.
BTW, to be the contrarian to what someone else suggested, do not take
any NSAIDs before the procedure. NSAIDs like Ibuprofen, Naproxen,
etc., tend to thin the blood and some doctors will not operate if you
have taken NSAIDs too soon before they cut. I took one Tylenol about
3 hours post-procedure, and a couple more in the next couple of days.
Did not need any ice or other drugs, though this will vary from person
to person.
