The usual 'us versus them' attitude.
I've thought long & hard about this. I've even considered
composing a wordy essay about whether we as Road Users should
endeavour to become one big 'us' instead of an 'us 'n them',
or if we as Cyclists should reconcile ourselves with being a
diminutized minority being afforded occasional 'special
treatment.'
But screw it. Let's just ride our fuggin' bikes. let our
riding do our talking.
And when some upstart driver starts complainin' at ya about
how easy 'n good we cyclists have it -- just tell 'em they
can enjoy the same benefits, too. All they've gotta do is
get a bike and ride it.
