I lived in the Springs for six years and graduated from high school
there. It fell off the map for me about 15 years ago. What a freak
zone. About a third of the population there is a serious blight on
Colorado in general. :-p
WRT riding, it used to be good for road. It has really sprawled *a lot*
since I left, probably still OK in the grand scheme of things though. I
didn't see my second mountain bike until after I left ('81), so I can't
comment there.
We seriously considered Ft. Collins when we moved back to the Front
Range. Nice place. I've ridden near Horsetooth Reservoir before. Good
Front Range mountain Biking IIRC. (settled in Louisville for job reasons).
