| You don't actually have to ride 100 miles at a time for training, but you should be comfortable riding five or six days a week, most of the rides being at the 30-40 mile mark, and once or twice a week going out for 50-70 miles. I would suggest taking a whole summer to build up to those levels, depending on your fitness and ability.Stay hydrated days before the event, eat lots of spag, and enjoy!
