| what is the purpose of having a monoshock bike?
my friend wants to get a cannondale prophet but he is an amateur rider and does not want to get air. he seems to be hooked on the prophets because the monoshock is "sick"
please help me find an all mountain bike for my friend $1000-$2000
heres what he wants to do:
he doesnt like jumping (so single crown forks)
he likes to bike fast (lightweight carbon fiber frame)
full suspension (air shock)
low gear ratio (14 or so)
trail and mountain rider
disc brakes
wide handle-bars
good parts, i.e. shimano, fox... you know the good ones
ironhorse, cannondale, specialized... are his favorite brands
please give me some ideas thanks
