| Wear the proper cycling kit (wicking fabrics,etc) and travel light!! Carry a change of clothes with you in a small rucksack or leave stuff at work.
Ride faster!! try and beat your personal best at least once a week!
MP3s are a great idea, I use one for training runs.
As time goes on you will get quicker.
EDIT: Play upbeat stuff on your MP3 - you will be wasting your time with a George Michael Ballad.
