I have a GT ZR 3.0 which I bought in 2001 at and endof season sale. I LOVE
it. I tried a few bikes (in my affordable range); a couple of Specialized ,
including the Festina model, a trek, a guru and a marinoni. And of course the
GT. THe shop let me test ride them. I didn't care for the Trek. It was
between the GT and the Marinoni. I liked how it felt, not stiff, and I would
recommend a GT for a starter. I felt very confident with it. It's the same
model that team Lotto used to ride (Of course, with better components), so
you can take heart in the fact that these bikes went through the forest of
Arenberg. And I'm one of the only people around here with a GT, so it makes
me sort of stand out.
