Personally, I would save some cash and go with the Ultegra group from Shimano. Same degree of effeciency as Dura Ace but not as polished. But to answer your question, you can switch to whatever you prefer.

You have two choices in road components, Shimano or Campagnolo. Yes, ther is the new SRAM group, but SRAM has always been Shimano compatible and you can mix the two.If you have Campy, you will have to replace your crank, bo9ttom bracket, shifters, front & rear derailleurs, freewheel (or rear wheel) and possibly brakes to switch to Dura Ace. So to answer your question, yes, you can switch. But it will cost you about $1800.Or you could simply stick with superior Italian craftsmanship and repair/replace the broken Campy component.

The cheapest option is to replace the broken Campagnolo component. If you want to change to Shimano the best and most economical option is to go for the Ultegra groupset, but bear in mind you will have to change the hubs as well
