St. Martin

Does anyone have any experience riding or renting a bike in St.
Martin? Would appreciate info on either road or mtn.

Thanks,

My wife and I went there last year. Wonderful place, by the way. I
particularly liked the French side. But riding... You have a choice of
the main roads that encircle the island, full of natives and tourists
alike vying for the Mario Andretti drive-alike award, or a few impossibly
steep interior roads. I also think that the local topography would not
offer much for mountain biking that was actually possible. The hills are
very, very steep.

I did see one person on a road bike, and I think there was a bike rental
place, but I was not tempted.

Thanks . . . about what I thought. Looks like I'll take a much
deserved week off the bike and my wife will be happy.
