yes, it was stupid, but...

Hello all! I got a flat the other day and, never having even seen
anyone fix one before, I took my derailleur off. Now I've lost the
threaded washer my allen bolt goes through. Is there anyway to get a
new one?

Of course. Go to your LBS. If not in stock they can order one. If it is
a standard DR they will probably have one.

I can only guess that your derailleur was held on by a separate piece that
was clamped into place by the wheel bolt. If so, that is a "derailleur
hanger", and if that is what you lost it should be available at little
cost from any bike shop.
