Resistance training

Husband is out in the garage this morning, tinkering with bikes. He always
gives our son's tourer a once-over on the weekend, as it's the bike our son has
been using all week to go to college. Whilst I'm checking my emails, there's a
tap at the window. It's husband motioning for me to come to the front door. So
I do and he's stood there with son's bike. "Turn that front wheel." he said. So
I *tried*. It wouldn't budge. The space between mudguard & wheel was *solid*
with mud and the brakes were encased in mud. Just goes to show the state of the
lanes in Norfolk in the winter. Looking at the bike you'd think he'd been doing
cyclocross! Mind you, it's a darned good bit of resistance training. That'll
build up son's muscles ;-)

Cheers, helen s
