Try this site. They are inexpensive and work great.

I have a binder clip zip-tied to my shifter cable.
Works fine as long as it isn't raining.

Another low-tech solution:
Two clothespins on the shifter cable.
When touring, can be used to hang up wet clothes to dry in
the evening.
