Trixters

Our local gym are about to sell off their Johnny G spinning bikes and
purchase Trixter X-bikes instead.

Does anyone have any comparions between the two?

Our cycling club currently have a contract with the gym. Our cyclists
cycle road bikes in the summer and take part in long distance events of
120-300 km. Living in Sweden (where we are said to have two seasons -
winter and July - we use the Johnny-G spinners for 6 months a year. We
have 2 two hour spinning sessions a month our priority has been time
spent on bike rather than a 30 minute complete body work (sales pitch of
the Trixter salesmen".

Some of our cyclists are voicing concerns about future training on the
Trixters saying they will meet our needs as much as the current Johnny-G
bikes.

One problem with the Johnny-G has been noise and part failure. Chains
have broke and the bottom brackets have in some cases warped the
threads. This is a combination of would be mechanics and age.

As the Trixter is a new bike I am interested in any feedback about
mechanical failures or other problems developed. My personal concern is
the strange postioning of the bottle holder. Has anyone bothered to
drill new holes for the bottle holder?

This and any other feedback appreciated.

The Trixter bike is described here...
