Hey, Tom . . .
Nobody's taking any of this crap seriously. Do you really feel the need to
keep (cross-)posting to all of these threads?
I can't imagine the people at good ol' soc.culture.afghanistan really give a
damn about this Hatfield/McCoy squabble you and your friend have going.

This is the United State of America. Bill is just practicing his First
Amendment right. This is A democratic Society. A society where we can
all do as many stupid things as we wish.
All Good Things.,
Maggie. Proud Member of the ACLU
It is no accident that freedom of speech is protected in the First
Amendment of the Bill of Rights: "Congress shall make no law
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of
speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to
assemble, The Constitution's founders believed that freedom of inquiry
and liberty of expression were the hallmarks of a democratic society.

An ongoing campaign to insult and attack another is hardly something we wish to
protect and encourage and not something protected in our "democratic society."
>All Good Things.,
This was a bad thing, a very bad thing.
>Maggie. Proud Member of the ACLU
And ignorant enough to be proud of it.
Ignorance like this heavily redacted version of the First Amendment. Do you have
any idea how dishonest and false this hack job is? This is NOT an innocent
copyist error. This exact mis-statement of the First has been repeated
extensively and methodically. Apparently as an attempt to "amend" through
ignorance the amendment. I am disappointed to see you as a party to it.

Hatchet jobs on others are not part of a "freedom of inquiry and liberty of
expression." They are just hatchet jobs and are used to stifle free speech.
Unless you believe that freedom of speech only exists for those who agree with
you.
