Looking for manufacture of chainrings

I'm trying to get in touch directly with a manufacturer of a chainring
(Rocket Rings), does anyone have any suggestion other than a google
search how I might find them? I've tried the Thomas Register and that
comes up a blank (nothing on either brand "Rocket" or product
"chainring"). I know the distributor is jbmimporters, but they don't
want to pass me along...

If the distributor is J&B Importers, likely the manufacturer is in
Taiwan. I hope you speak Chinese.

If you want custom chainrings, have you talked to the people behind
chainrings.com?

Dear J.B.,

They do seem to be shy. You might look at the
urls mentioned in the three hits on Google
for the phrase "rocket chainrings"--if the
sites mentioned don't help, you might email
the authors for suggestions.

Good luck,

I would try GlobalSpec

You can search by specfications using user friendly product search forms.
You can connect to suppliers quick and easy.

Re: Looking for manufacture of chainrings

I did a search for the trademark at the US patent and trademark office, no
dice, but I only did a cursory search ... there are a LOT of product
trademarks with the name rocket. You might want to give it a shot:

Wow, these guys sell a 37T 130mm ring. Will that work on most cranks?

What makes you think Rocket Rings is a "manufacturer"?

That's the brand name, whether the manufacturer uses that as the
company name or not I don't know -- but it's the only thing I have to
go on.

It'd probably take some gentle work with a file. I recall that
Suntour's 38 tooth 130BCD ring required that the ends of the crank
spider be slightly notched for chain clearance.

Andy's right- J&B Importers brings in lots of stuff using a bunch of
different brand names (such as "Pyramid"). It's entirely possible that
they have their chainrings manufactured by different shops in Taiwan
(or China, or the Phillipines...) and put in "Rocket Ring" packaging.
You'd never know the difference on the shelf.

Back to the original question- why are you trying to find them? If
it's some kind of custom or small production run part, maybe we can
point you in more fruitful direction.
