Good choice!

I'm not a big ELO fan at all...

Zippy:

Bruce Hornsby and the Range?

While indoor training?

My stool is getting soft thinking about it.

Thanks for sharing. That may be more than we all want to know. Are
you using FiberCon while you're thinking about it?

Yeah. Brucie and the Range. Scenes from the Southside. The Way it
Is.

You're right - just injecting a little humor (sick) into the conversation.
I do like BH&R, but I see it as a light spinning workout soundtrack.

Look into satellite radio. Sirius (which I have) or XM. 100 station
and just flick from genre to genra as you like. I've got 400+ CD's and
generally don't listen to them anymore as I've grown tired of almost
every one.

Blue danube waltz. Helps improve your cadance.

Unless yer still using BioPace. So in that case,
maybe some calypso/pan would be called for.

Howz 'bout some zydeco dance tunes to warm up;
torch songs for cool down?

Tom

Re: Songs for Indoor Training?

Hmmm, it seems that everyone who responds assumes you mean songs to
listen to. But perhaps you mean inspirational songs you can sing
while cycling?

Or maybe not. :-)

Re: Songs for Indoor Training?

Songs? Music? When I work out on an indoor machine, it's either a
Schwinn AirDyne, a
Concept II rowing ergometer or an arm-cranker. I set a time and a pace
that is harder each time than ever before. Usually I succeed, but if
not, I take it as a message that I need a few days of rest.

There's no place for music or any other distraction for me in this
type of workout. If I noticed anything outside of my singular point of
focus, I wouldn't be driving myself hard enough. I can't push myself to
this level outside on the road, as there's constant disruptions of the
pace and a need to be aware of everything around me, for safety. This
is an advantage of indoor machines and something is lost if these
workouts aren't carried out at an intensity that is beyond any need for
music.

One time, in the middle of my AirDyne session, there was a fire in
the fitness club. I didn't hear the alarms or notice the other people
running outside. Someone had to come over and drag me off the machine.
