peugeot model?

Hello,

Some time ago I bought an old peugot racing bike and I wonder if someone
here knows what model it is?

I have a picture of the bike here:
http://www.shell.linux.se/jokke/pix/peugeot.jpg

The frame has some light green metallic paint and it is a sticker on it
that says that it is reynold's tubing, the fork is chromed. The brake
handles are shimano dura-ace, rear derailer is an old campagnolo (920 I
think it says), the front derailer is a shimano but I don't think that it
is original. I don't know how old the bike is but I would guess it's from
the 80's.

Does anyone knows what model it is or where I countinue searching for
answers?

Regards
Jokke

Peugeot often stamps the model number on the BB next to the serial number
(look for something like UO10 or PX10).

It would help if we knew exactly what it says on the Reynolds sticker.

It says:
CONSTRUIT AVEC
531 (with big letters)
REYNOLD (on top of 531 with the same size letters as top row)
3 TUBES RENFORCE
and then some small letters that I can't really see but I think it is the
company name or something.

The only thing I see is the serial (B1110925), but I havn't removed the
little plastic thing that the gearing wires glide on, do you think I
should?

Sorry that I can't help, but if you find any good resources, let me
know; I have an unidentified Peugeot too. I found enough resources
for Schwinns, but nowhere was I able to find any way to ID Peugeots
other than PX-10 and a few other popular models.

If it was a PX-10 (Peugeot's "top-of-the-line" bike) it would say
"Garanti construit avec Reynolds 531 tubes renforces Forreaux de
fourchet et arrieres"

If it was a plain old pedestrian UO-8 it wouldn't have any 531 at all.
I believe these were constructed with unbranded carbon steel tubing.

There were some Peugeot models built with Reynolds 501 (chrome-moly).
An example would be the PGN-10.

Finally there are the P-10A, the PR-10L, the PKN-10 series, and the
PGN-10. These were constructed with Reynolds 531 main tubes (3 tubes
renforces). Your bike is probably one of these but Peugeot experts
much more knowledgable than I sometimes have a hard time identifying
specific bikes.

Some places to look for more info:

Seems you know a lot about 'em anyway. Know anything about which
Peugeots were made with Super Vitus 980 double butted lugged frames?

I appealed for assistance a long time ago in this thread:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
where I specified everything I could find on it to identify it, but
nobody had an answer.

A better place to ask would be on the Classic Rendezvous email list.
You can find info on accessing this list at:
