Just a couple of questions.....

I know there is currently a resurgence in collecting vintage or classic
bikes, especially lugged steel from the 70s and 80s. Do you think the
current high end bikes(scandium frames, OCLV, carbon, Ti, 853, etc) will
hold up to become classics 20 years from now?
Eddy Merckx went on to have his own bicycle line after retirement, as
did Greg LeMond(and others I'm sure). Do you think Lance will do the same,
or is he too wedded to Trek in the eyes of the public? Do you think Trek
would see fit to give Lance a line it manufactures like it does LeMond?

That depends on how they are treated. A vintage steel fram left out int he rain
for 20 years is worthless. The same wil hold for bikes made today. The ones
treated well will last that long, while the ones ridden a lot or abused probably
won't. As for what becomes a classic, that is a matter of opinion.

When Lance retires, he will be able to do whatever he wants in the bike world.

Faced with a choice, do both (given by Dieter Rot).
