how much does the average bike cost?

nothing fancy
last time i checked it out was like 4 years ago
the one i wanted was like 300$

but i cant remember

i want something simple but nice and something to get me from point A to B.

Suggestions?
where did you get it at??
im not spending over 300$

i dont want anything too heavy

You will be looking at entry level hybrids at someplace like performance cycles. That said you will be hard pressed to walk out the door for under $300. You might find something for $300 PLUS tax. Look for a left over 2007 bike in your size -- if you find it, like the color it is in. Have cash with you and try to get it out the door for the $300 you have to spend. Schwinn Super Sport, Giant, Specialized -- hybrids. Then you would go down to a cruiser. Even good cruisers would push the $300 hard.
