Semi-Decent Mountain Bike? - Cycling Mob: Road Cycling, Mountain Biking and More

I'm looking for a semi-decent mountain bike or perhaps dirt-jumper for around £200/£250. Preferably full-suspension and front + rear disc brakes

I was going to get a Shockwave XT950 from Halfords, but i've read it's a bad choice. Also read that most Appolo's are pretty bad.

I'm hoping to find a decnt one somewhere in all these January Sales.
