Is it true you have to be a guy to be in the Tour De France?

Because I'm new to biking but i love it already and I'm going to throw a fit if it's true. What if I worked my butt off, winning every single race I was in? (Suppose for a minute that's a possibility.) I STILL wouldn't be allowed in?

You have to be very decatied to biking and have a lot of free time to do the tour de france and you must be a CAT 1 or Pro.

Sorry, it's a men only event, no exceptions...I know of no pro events that are co-ed.

Don't try and raise a sexist issue here eh?

If you worked your butt off and were able to compete with the top pros, then you have as much chance as a guy, so quit bleating.

No offence!

No, the main Tour de France is male-only. (The one that is most publized and reported by journalists and newstations in and out of France) But there is also a women's Tour de France, so go for it!!
(All professional cycling races are single-sex, that is because males already have an advantage over women. It is the same in professional running/racing)
