well i think you need to oil the chain.
if it keep coming lose then you put it back on.
when you get home use a rench to screw the wheel in so it is nice and snug

Try your local Halfords. They will let you watch what to do to repair and maintain your bike.

is very few things one can do and all are easy to... not knowing or being there is hard .... but im guessing it a ten speed or like it... they are screws on the front sprocket look see where it move when you change gears keep the chain straight or some jumping off track a simple turn should do it one way or the other... the rear sprock is the same way it works it also as screw to adjust the movements one screw for the top stop and one for the bottom stop keep the chain in line a pocket screwdriver is what you will need

Providing there's a local bike shop somewhere close by, I normally prefer to let the professionals handle the maintenance and repairs, but as we ride cross-country, that's not always an option.

So I found a bike shop that offered a number of different programs and took classes. Yes, I also have manuals, but there's nothing like getting hands-on experience. The bike shop also organizes rides and races, it's good public relations for them and holding public classes doesn't hurt their business--I now take my bike to them every year for tune-ups and upgrades.

Another good way to learn to fix your bike? Get a part-time job in a bike shop.
