BMX Spray-painting Problems PLEASE HELP!!!!?

I have a Mongoose Pro Menace (BMX) that i am spray-painting, i have sanded it all back and i cleaned the surface, i applied the primer and once it dried i applied 3 coats of the paint...only a few weeks later, the paint started peeling.....i have heard using clear coat isn't a good idea?!?!....Does anyone know a cheap but good quality clear coat that won't cause cracking in the paint?? Price?? What Shop????

P.S: I bought my primer from paintspot on Mcintyre rd for i think it was $6 and fluoro green paint for $16
