what are three ways to change the velocity while riding a bicycle???

Science? As in homework? Do I get the extra credit for helping you by telling you:

1. pedaling
2. coasting
3. braking

They all change the velocity. I hope you see which effects your velocity in what way. That's the part I am leaving up to you. I did my part.
