| what bike, and how much a day so loose weight? i can't jog anymore because of shin splints, a doctor told me i should try to cycle instead of run. the one major question i have is what kind of bike do i get without spending 500 dollars. i would be using it on streets and paths. if someone could give me an example of what kind of bike i would appreciate it. weather it be a mountain bike with shocks and such or a street bike with the skinny tires. i have no idea how much i should even ride, some have told me 5 miles a day is good to stay in shape and loose some weight and some have said an average of ten miles a day.
