can you put pannier bags on a mountian bike that has dual supension?

I am going to start riding a bike to work considering that gas prices arent going to be going down any time soon, but I am a little worried that if I go out and get a bike with full suspension that I am not going to be able to put pannier bags on the back of it. So in short, does anyone out there have a full suspension bike that you have put pannier bags on, or does anyone have any good suggestions?

your not gonna wantt to ride that tank on the road because you'll lose all of the energy that should be going to the road into the front or rear shock, so either get lockouts for them, or ride another bike on the street a bmx bike would even be better, but as far as the bags go yes you can find certain mounts at a bike shop.

Pheonix, get a rack that mounts (via quick release) to your seat post. Mount your panniers on it or get a bike trunk bag that sits atop the rack.

Even if your bike is a MTB you can commute it. I hope your employer has room inside to park it during your work shift.
Theft is a big concern.
