| You shouldn't have to make any changes but the bike should be able to reach highway speed in order for you to take it on the highway. Take a vespa for example, you can register them but you cannot take them on the highway. You may have to get the emissions tested but I'm not sure how your state would do it. Last but not least, don't ever even think about showing up to register a car/ bike w/o insurance, (though sometimes if your engine is small enough they won't make you have it) and the title. If you don't have a title then the bill of sale.
