i am guy and going to get back into cycling,should i shave my legs for when i am...

...wearing bike shorts?
i think it is cooler,looks sexy and helps gravel rash heal quicker

If you want to, that's fine. If not, that's fine too.

Its more style than function. I might suggest that if you're a back of the pack sort of guy, shaving might get you tagged as a poseur.

A note on celebrity shaving: Brett Favre shaves his legs. In a Sports Illustrated piece a couple years ago, he didn't try to rationalize about tape or anything, he just said it looked and felt cool.

My friend does that when he road cycles in the summer. He says it makes him more aerodynamic and have less wind resistance but most importantly he thinks that shaving your legs will create less damage if you take a spill onto the pavement. I.E. Your hair won't scrape the ground and pull your skin off even more. And I am a girl and I don't think shaving your legs makes you less of a guy...if your comforatable enough in your masculinity then go right ahead! Enjoy being a hard core roadie! )
