Hmmm, right in time for my visit. They never came out while I was
living there, so this shall provide an opportunity to see them.

Hopefully I'll get the chance to test this. I'm really working on
having a bike while I'm there. I think if I go a whole week without
riding I might perish.

"Yard sale"?
I recall attending the Horsey 100 17 years ago, which meant a drive
through Cinty. The noise on the walled freeway was incredible, and I
rolled up the windows.
What others said about them is mostly accurate (I can't verify what
their innards look like). Cycling hazards are negligible. They leave
interesting empty exoskeletons attached to trees.
