Red Cloud Posts: n/a	50% Tax rate on Gas I've just found out that almost 50% of gas sale is on tax! Look at this special tax on gas I've just found out! Federal Exercise Tax : 18.6% State Exercise Tax: 18.5% State Sale Tax: 7.5% These tax not include local and city tax! So if you add fed, state, local and city rate, you get almost 50% of tax rate. No wonder this is the best time to ride a bicycle to work!
