A trick for extending brake reach a bit, plus more

I've posted some pictures and notes on using V-brake hardware to extend
the reach of caliper brakes slightly. One unnoted downside: slightly
less pad life due to taking the pad down at an angle.

Also, if you scroll down, more pix of version 1.0 of BMX LX. Then, a
bird.

Beautiful robin. A concern about the brake setup: As the pads wear,
will they not come into contact with the rim sidewall at an ever
decreasing distance from the rim edge? (i.e Possibly rubbing against
the tire sidewall)
