First ride of the season

Saturday was warm and sunny here in Calgary. Taking the camera and a couple of
bottles of water, and no plan really - went over to pump up the tires at local
garage. A youngish fellow was there - also doing his first ride. He was going
to ride to a park some 20 KM away (one way). That was too far for me, so I
headed in the opposite direction.

Spotted a deer in Carburn park, stopped, aimed the camera and the deer took off!
Last year I had a problem with deer on the pathway that wouldn't move, this year
they seem to have bred that particular trait out of themselves.

There weren't many bikes on the pathway, only a few passed me doing their, what
appeared to be, effortless pedaling in higher gears.

The most surprising thing was being able to pedal up a steep hill without too
much trouble! I love my bike!

Added 20KM's to the bike spreadsheet, and thought about what a lovely ride that
was.

Today it is raining. Hope for clearing by the afternoon.

take care
Liz
