anyone familiar with univega arrowpace bikes?

in particular, i have a few questions about it.

first, is it a girls bike? I ask because the middle frame goes from the top
of the handle bars to the forks, not straight across.

second. i am a 6'-0" male, and have to extend the seat to where there is
only about 1" of pipe left in the channel. that doesn't appear safe to me.
is there any remedy? in particular, does someone make an aftermarket
extended seat pipe?
