Steel bike outside with plastic cover... will it rust?

Hi,

I have a rather nice Roberts custom audax that currently occupies a
prestigious place in my living room.

Unfortunately for the Roberts, it's owner is extremely keen on getting
a fast road bike, and the Roberts will be confined to an uncovered
courtyard...

If I get a full size cover for it, do you recon it'll still rust a lot
faster than, say, having it in a bike shed?

I'd rather put the bike into storage than see it rust

Any thoughts most appreciated,
