I just got back from RSVP 2004, and I have a trip report in progress. Keep
an eye on rec.bicycles.rides, where I'll end up posting it maybe Tuesday or
so.
But I just had to mention that as a part of the ride, we went out along the
flat agricultural land between Maple Ridge and Port Moody. My husband and I
were whipping along the roads there, when it hit me, this is the natural
training ground of the famous, if elusive, Fabrizio Mazzoleni. Surely he
would be back home by now.
So, I began to look for him. I had an easy way to find him -- I'd smile and
nod at all the stylish cyclists I saw that weren't a part of our ride, and
if they smiled or nodded in return, I figured, that wasn't him. Since every
one I met was really friendly, I figured that maybe he's still in Europe,
earning a few extra bucks in some exhibition races or something, before
returning to his native home.
Warm Regards,
Claire Petersky
