club rides

hello cyclists. i am an avid commuter and capable of longer rides and
considering riding with one of the local clubs. perhaps cascade bike club's
weds ride from gasworks park. their web site says "steady". im not sure what
this means in terms of avg speed. they list beginner, moderate, strenuous
etc. i think my avg speed on a 25 mile ride would be about 18 to 20. is this
a beginner speed? moderate? advice/suggestions solicited. thanks
-alan

Worry about that later.
What you need to concentrate on is how your kit looks.

You can really make a poor impression showing up with
the incorrect gear.

We will be checking you out.

Carbon is where it's at now.
