Why are you letting Liberator co-opt this newsgroup? - Cycling Mob: Road Cycling, Mountain Biking and More

Used to be the newsgroup was great...good RR, and info on mountain biking.
But now it's just negative whining and whinging towards a guy who
admittedly has mental problems. All the posturing and insults in the
world aren't gonna get to him...or get rid of him...he just doesn't get
it.And won't get it.
Ever.

It's become like playtime in the nursery here, all "my Dad's bigger than
you" bickering.
Just kill file him like you killfiled MikeV and be done with it.

You're just giving him more power to disrupt this group...why bother?

Can we get back to the subject at hand soon please? Or perhaps you
should start an alt.mountain-bike-liberator group.

This coming from a non-contributor? What's stopping you from posting a
ride report, gear report/review or other on-topic post? Do you realize
the complete and total irony of your post? Penny, get your friend in
line here, ok?

I need to get something out of the way before I begin. I must say that
Liberator still labors under the outmoded pretense that people don't
mind having their communities turned into war zones. To get immediately
to the point, I doubtlessly hope that the truth will prevail and that
justice will be served before Liberator does any real damage. Or is it
already too late? It's an interesting question, and its examination
will help us understand how Liberator's mind works. Let me start by
providing evidence that perhaps one day we will live in a world where
good people are not troubled by fear of insensate, gin-swilling
politicasters. Until that day arrives, however, we must spread the word
that there is something grievously wrong with those pharisaical New Age
knee-biters who shift our society from a culture of conscience to a
culture of consensus. Shame on the lot of them! Liberator wants to
subordinate all spheres of society to an ideological vision of organic

grasp of reality. I would like to end on a heartfelt note. I,
hardheaded cynic that I am, like to throw darts at Liberator's picture.

The folks here can't seem to resist libbys needling. I can understand
the urge to "call him out" on his bicycling prowess, but it only feeds
his ego. "You can't shout down a troll, you have to starve them". Same

Yeah- well, this is why I don't contribute.
Because I don't want to be ripped by some jerk like you J.D.
What was the point of ripping me like this?
I am contributing...but when I I post- I get ripped.For the most
stuipid reason.
And this is not the first time.
Due to health issues I'm not riding now.so no RR .
I haven't been riding for about a year. so No gear report.
I moved to the North Shore, thought I'd get some serious biking in, got
sick.
So now I'm a wannabe. I'm surrounded by the sport here in North Van.I
want to stay within the community. Right now I get my mountain biking
fix vicariously. Therough the newsgroup among other places.
Newsgroups are free, you don't have to contribute to enjoy them.

And I could care less....
Off topic... I don't think so...not when it becomes 80 percent of the

Hardly what I call being ripped. I thought JD was direct and I've read way
more serious stuff from him. Regardless of your illness you haven't
contributed since November of '05 and even then it was about wallmart bikes.
Use your kill filters. You'd be surprised how much they work.

and he probably is bigger than you and your dad, height wise, anyway.
