First JD I'm no kid and have been riding the shore since the 1980's
,having pulled many people off the mountain with major injuries many
which could have been avoided with the use of some simple armor that I
believe that to not wear armor where it is necessary is just plain
machismo bull.PS I never buy in to media hype about anything. So before
you start off on an other of your pinhead rants maybe your should look
at what's really out there other than those sidewalks you ride down there.

So, tell us all whizzerp, my anonymous little pissant, what body armor
were you wearing in the 80's?

Just admit that you are a punk and subscribe to punk notions and be
done with it, punk.

Next thing you know, whizzerp will be dropping names and beating their
chest to show how HARDCORE they are. I've seen your kind before and
laughed at them, riding the Prime Cut in Fruita on FR bikes in full
body armor. You'd never keep up with me on a bad day out there in your
armor, "pushing the limits" and pissing into the wind at the same time.
What a joke, bringing a 105mm howitzer to a quickdraw competition.
Consider your eye dotted, dummy.

Not for XC, but for All Mountain or what ever the catch phase is this
month. I used the term extreme XC to cover the type of riding I do down
here. With very few managed bike trails in Trinidad ( less than 10miles
) most iof my riding is along hiking or farm trails which require a
combination of ride, push, carry and climb to get up and a whole buinch
of oh****oh****oh**** to get down. Plus I usualy ride alone and out in
the middle of nowhere (beyond cell phone coverage) and after my last
fall I had to ride the last 4 miles of trail home with a broken left
hand which ment reduced control and no rear brake. Something I'd like
to avoid in the future.

I linked to Tomac's picture because JD the wonder child suggested that
awesome riders like John ride without armour.

Laters,

Marz

In their heyday (80's-mid 90's), I doubt you'll find a photo of either
of those three in body armor. Look at the old photos from the 80's,
they were all riding rigid bikes and hauling ass, sans body armor.
Twist it any way you want, you're still taking the wimpy "instant
gratification" road.

As an afterthought, I'd wager that at least one of them still hauls ass
on hardtail bikes and doesn't wear body armor while doing so. If you'd
care to put your money where your mouth is, you would LOSE.
