Riding on New Years Day

So, who else got some quality "first ride of the year" in today?

Unfortunatly, due to the large amount of rain the recent snow dumping storm
left us, our trails are a wash...literally. So we had to tear up the back
yard trails my son and I have created. So for us, not much....but the mud we
did hit was a blast...

So who else got a ride in??

Dave

I enjoyed a ride on another beautiful, sunny 70 degree c (albeit windy)
SoCal day. I have a feeling the scheduled LoSoCal ride was even nicer.

Rode a new cut North of town. Great layout and workmanship on the trail.
Has a few sandy areas, a rocky river bottom to ride for about 100 yards, a
small river crossing, twice (until summer) and a parking are next to a bunch
of idiots with guns. Seems the th is a popular area for target shooters,
new kids with atv's, and who knows what else. Fortunately the trail gets
you down into the canyon rather quickly and away from the sound of the great
white hunter.

Sounds like a fav of mine, Dauset Trails....just the other side of the
river there is private property and gunfire is often heard. I usually
find a different spot when hunting season rolls around, which in GA is
practically year round! I usually hit em about mid morning, so the
early Davy Crocketts can't get a shot off!! LOL!
