AmeriKKKa's manufacturing industry, Most of AmeriKKKa's markets, whatever
market that happens to be, etc. etc. etc...

But most of all, they have the a near universally a smarter and better
educated public than the AmeriKKKan people.

Hence the laughter. You stupid, ****ing AmeiKKKan Turd.

: almost a decade now.

I don't want to burden you with facts... but I'd suggest you read this;

Foreign Agricultural Trade of the United States (FATUS): Monthly Summary
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

While I'm not sure what they were thinking picking a acronym like that, as
you can see by actually reading the yearly summaries, the U.S. still exports
more than we import, however there are occasional months now where the balance
goes the other way (June and August 2004 are part of the occasional trend where
we import more than we export in some months). They are predicting that
eventually that we will import more than we export, but it's not because
we aren't growing enough (and we are still the largest exporter of food).
first, immigrants tend to want the same food that was available in their
native country... for one thing, they are predicting it'll take 10 years for
the goat supply in the U.S. to catch up to the current demand, so in the mean
time, we import goat meat... Also, because some U.S. crops are genetically
modified to resist pests or increase yields, some nations (especially Europe)
have banned import of those modified crops and so they are sold to other
nations, possibly at a lower price...

With the hard frost that hit California recently, we will probably be
importing much of our citrus supplies in the next year which will drive
up imports again...

It's not that we can't feed ourselves, it's that our population demands
availability of specific foods... something one can do in a free nation
where ones basic survival isn't constantly endangered...

There was a interesting article about the goat meat problem... U.S. farmers
are working to increase supply (after all, in capitalism, one sees a demand
and one meets it) but they say it'll take years to build up herds...

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
'... "If they slaughtered all the goats that we had in this country, there'd
maybe be a month's supply of meat," says Peterson. "They don't seem to
be able to catch up with the number of goats to meet the demand so far."
While the number of U.S. goat producers is growing, it will take years
before supply catches up with demand. It means building an entire support
system. Things like barns, stockyards and processing plants.

In the meantime most of the goat meat eaten in the U.S. comes from other
countries. It's an example of why the U.S., with all it's agricultural
wealth, still imports about ten per cent of its food each year. ...'

For this year they are predicting a surplus of over 2 billion, far less than
it was years ago, but still a surplus...

The apple situation is a example of forward planing by China... years ago,
China planted thousands of apple trees and is now the worlds largest grower
of apples... [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
however the U.S. has never competed in the bottom of the barrel market price
wise...

"...China's apples are cheap and plentiful -- the country has projected
its harvest this year at the equivalent of more than 1 billion boxes. But
for consistent high quality, many Chinese shoppers still turn to imports
from Washington.

Apple importer Wong Wing Fai, who has an office at the Lishui Fresh Fruit
Terminal Market, estimates it will take far more than a decade for China's
packing-line technology and capacity to catch up with the United States.
..."
