Is the Haro V2 a good mountain bike to buy? - Cycling Mob: Road Cycling, Mountain Biking and More

How does it compare to the Trek bikes? I used to have a trek bike and thought it was a good bike except for the fact I couldn't use the lowest gear. It always skipped but other than that I thought it was a good bike. We found this Haro bike at the ozone bike shop here in Austin and thought it was a pretty good deal ranging from 350 to 500 dollars.
