| I am riding a mountain bike for exercise. What should my heart rate be and how is the best way to ride? 3 part question - I am 34 years old, 5 ft. 11 1/2 in. tall, at 185 lbs. I want to get down to 155-165 more of my ideal weight. I am riding 4 days a week, 7.5 miles a ride in 35 min. The roads I ride on are somewhat hilly. 1. What is the best heart rate to lose fat for my body type. 2. Is it better to ride on a flat road for longer distance and hold a sold heart rate? 3. How long should I be riding?
