When ordering a bike online at Amazon, if it says a "26 inch" mountain bike,...
...what is 26 inches? Height? I am trying to get a bike for my wife. She is 5'3 to 5'4. On Amazon the bikes are a good deal, but I keep seeing "24 inch" and "26 inch" bikes - does that refer to height? I am guessing my wife needs a smaller one - what size mountain bike would you suggest for her size? And does anyone know if you can find smaller bikes on Amazon, if the 24-26 is in fact refering to height?

That would be the diameter of the tire +rim. 26" is good for an average/tall woman. 24" would be ideal.
