Not that I've ever been there, but why is Vegas so bad for biking? Too
much glitter?

Too much alcohol, too much high-speed reckless driving,
and too much ignorance of the existence of bikers
on the part of the Piss-Poor-Planning Commission.

I was just out there in April and found it not too bad for city riding
I'm from the east coast(CT) and I normally get up at 6 am which was 4 a
out there so I did some early morning rides before the traffic got bad
I do remember getting some strange stares at 5am on the elevator wit
my bike and attire :eek

Actually the post above seems funny, but it's true.
My parents live in Vegas (Henderson NV), and I took my bike out there for a
visit.
Besides the heat, the traffic is pretty bad.

Picture a lot of out of state drivers who lost their money, trying to
negotiate roadways in heavy traffic while they had a few drinks (free drinks
to gamblers) and driving over the speed limit.
Riding a bike in "the city that never sleeps" is suicidal at night, and
semi-suicidal in daylight.
