SRAM shifters w/ shimano road derailleurs????

Just wondering if I could use sram shifters, twist or trigger, w/ shimano
derailleurs (105, ultegra).
Anybody know?

TIA

Ron

In case you're wondering, i'm attempting a frankenbike project, MTB frame,
700c wheels, road triple, etc.

I'd think so as their cassettes work perfectly with shimano shifters in my
experience.

you need to make sure they are shimano compatible. sram shifters for sram rd's
pull 1 to 1 cable where shimano is 2 to 1. there are more shimano compatible
then sram compatible out there on ebay.
