Batteryless bicycle safety lights. (New Generation)

Batteryless, No friction on any parts of the bicycle. Not like normal
bicycle dynamos, this light system works regardless the bicycle's
speed and weather conditions. Standby lights if you want.

More details on:

Thanks

Can this really generate enough power to even have a few LEDs flash?

it takes almost nothing to flash LEDs... looks at the piezoelectric
flashers on kids shoes! Note however that this solution does not light
your path, just provides visibility for cars to see you...

Re: Batteryless bicycle safety lights. (New Generation)

Looking at the diagram of the generator, it appears that a magnet on the
spokes sweeps over a "tumbling magnet", which, in turn, generates current in
a surrounding coil. Why didn't the designer simply let the field from the
spoke magnet do the generating?

Another thought: Couldn't a cyclometer be integrated into this setup, since
it operates off of wheel rotation? The front flashing light and cyclometer
display could be combined.
