I read some of your meditations for bicyclists. I am touched. I
thought I was the only one who felt a mystical, almost religious
connection to my riding. I've a special place in my heart for those
who, like me, ride and feel this connection.

I live in the Texas Panhandle and ride in Palo Duro Canyon state park
quite often during the summer and on winter days when it's nice. There
is a place, well off the beaten path that only bikers seem to go. I've
sat on the bench there and cried because I felt so close to my Old
Friend. I've sat there and asked the questions I didn't have anwers
for. And I've come home knowing that the answers are there and that I
am better for having asked the questions.

I don't think you are particularly intended to take the
clear wrapper off. It gives you some corners to hold onto
and makes it easier to avoid getting your fingers on the
"business side" of the rubber.

I don't think you are particularly intended to take the
clear wrapper off. It gives you some corners to hold onto
and makes it easier to avoid getting your fingers on the
"business side" of the rubber.

If you have time for all that, you aren't riding fast enough. How do you
expect to stave off the broom wagon in the upcoming classics if you're wasting
valuable training time like that? I mean, pharmaceuticals can only take you so
far, and then it's up to you.
