Went out today, just a few hours short of 8 days post-procedure.
Could not have done it yesterday, and the 10 miles or so was about all
I could handle, but it feels as if I can start picking it back up now.

BTW, to be the contrarian to what someone else suggested, do not take
any NSAIDs before the procedure. NSAIDs like Ibuprofen, Naproxen,
etc., tend to thin the blood and some doctors will not operate if you
have taken NSAIDs too soon before they cut. I took one Tylenol about
3 hours post-procedure, and a couple more in the next couple of days.
Did not need any ice or other drugs, though this will vary from person
to person.

Re: vasectomy recovery time

When my dog was neutered he was fine within a couple of days. Why
would any self respecting MAN get himself fixed? If you are in a
committed relationship it is your duty to tell your woman to get on the
pill. If not you have to bag it anyway to prevent getting skanked and
that will prevent pregancy . Think about how you will feel walking
around knowing you are shooting blanks. You'll probably feel alot like
a fixed dog. They lose something after being fixed. You will too.

Let me guess: 47-ish, never married, live in shack on parents' property,
probably down south?

"Backpacker" indeed...
