Virtual Reality Bike Trainer

Has anyone used or know of anyone who has used the Performance Travel
Trac RealAxiom bike trainer from performance bike? Here is the link to
it: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
If this thing is everything that it says, I am seriously considering
getting it. I try and ride outdoors as much as possible, even in the
cold winter months. However, trainer rides are a big part of my
cycling, even in the summer. According to the site, this trainer has
"courses" that you ride, and the trainer adjusts the resistance
accordingly. This would absolutely make indoor rides more enjoyable
and less boring. What does everyone think?

Not that I know ANYTHING about ANYTHING that has to do with state of
the art bicycle equipment...(I still have not figured out my Enduro 8.
The 8 function/8 feature Cyclocomputer. It sits alone in the box it
came in waiting for me to try again.
BUTTTTTTT....(As said in Pee Wee's Big Adventure..."Everyone has a big
BUT".....I would rather buy a really great purse than whatever the hell
that thing is you want to buy. Somethings can be a little too high tech
in my opinion. That is my 2 cents and it's not even worth 2 cents.
Spring will come again. I have faith. That's my story and I'm sticking
to it.... :-)

THE SPRING will come again, dear friends,
The swallow o'er the sea;
The bud will hang upon the bough,
The blossom on the tree;
AND we will all ride again. Outdoors!

Re: Virtual Reality Bike Trainer

Hummmm....a bit harsh don't you think?? I won't be as harsh, but ome
things..like the internet used to be a little high tech for most
people...but that seemed to change huh?

Anyway, maybe this "thing" you refer to will be the norm in a few
years..maybe all bike trainers will be like this and working out on my
trainer will have more of a purpose than just sweating my @ss off!

I don't take the winter off from riding outdoors, but there are days
when only the trainer will do. Any yes Maggie...spring will come
again..and we will ride outdoors. However, the purse you say I should
buy will not help me get up that 7% grade 2 mile climb that I suffer up
every spring while I get my legs back.

....sorry for the bit of attitude, but your response was't what I was
expecting either.

Said by someone who quotes nothing, providing ZERO CONTEXT for his (or her)
little whinelet.

Classic.
